Today is Saturday. The day after chad and Michelle's wedding. Last time I wrote we had just gotten back from ca.
Well this is what has happened since then. We got home and we prepared for wades surgery. The surgery day was last Friday. It went ok but there was a lot of damage and it took longer to fix than originally planned. We got home 9 pm. The nurses were great! We had a long wait and they kept us entertained. But everything went well. My mom took care of the kids that whole day.(thank heavens for her) Saturday my in laws took the kids (once again thank heaven) we had friend take our kids to church on Sunday so we could get a nap. We slept on the couch the 1st two nights bc we couldn't get wade up the stairs. I had to do everything for him but that was fine. Monday he had physical therapy. He did awesome! He's tough. Love him.
That was also the day of the Boston marathon bombing. Super scary and said. They are horrible people and my heart goes out to all who are hurt in this. Such horrible events have happened this year.
Tuesday can and we were blessed to go to the temple with my family and my now sister in-law. It was an awesome experience and I loved having my whole family there. Wade was in a lot of pain but once again we is a champ and got through it.
Wednesday morning at 3 am was when crap started. Wade got sick. And I mean sick. He had a fever and was throwing up. He wanted to die. I called the doctor and they told me to not give him anymore pain meds bc it might be a reaction. I called my dad and asked if he could give wade and blessing so my dad and brother came right down. 7am they gave him a blessing and I can testify that it would. Instantly he felt better. He slept the whole day and whole night. The next day was Thursday the day of the wedding dinner. Wade gathered his strength and we went to the dinner. It was beautiful and great. In excited to get it up on my blog.
Friday morning disaster struck. I started throwing up at 5am! Shaylie was also throwing up! 6 hours before my brothers wedding and I'm sick! I received a blessing from my neighbor at 7 and at 9am I was laying on the bathroom floor trying to figure out how I was going to make it to the ceremony. I knew god would help me! I have seen him so close to my life lately that I knew he would help me. Our neighbors and awesome and helped us from 7am to 11 pm. They are angels from heaven. I love them with all my heart.
We got to the temple with no time to spare. We walked in last. But we made it.a tender mercy from The Lord. My cousin and his wife pushed wade and I both broken in wheelchairs to take a family picture and then we heading home to sleep.
At 5 we got back up and heading to the reception. We enjoyed the time and loved watching the joy on my brothers face,I love them very much and am so happy they have each other. I sang a beautiful song written for chad and Michelle from our dear friend mike Garson. It was a great night. After all the crap we have gone through I can rest.
I don't know the lesson I needed to learn but I can tell you I have been blessed. There have been so many amazing people and my Heavenly Father has truly shown me his love. I'm truly grateful for all the blessing I received through all this chaos, I want you to know that all this has been possible to deal with because of him and the strength he gives me.

Some kinda crazy
Well I guess I'm being tested and I'm hoping I pass. This march and April have been pretty interesting. Before march started I thought I was pretty busy. It was the regular stuff with a little added bonus of things. Wade-work (plus more traveling),school, football and church stuff. Me-kids, volunteer work for shaylies school, helping my grandpa, my church stuff, and the new added bonus of my website. It was going well. Busy....very busy but we were handling it. Then life hit us with a curve ball or a couple thousand curve balls. A couple weeks back it got a little more crazy.
My neighbor got his mission call. Very excited but I knew I was losing a friend and my kids favorite babysitter. We also have chad and Michelle's wedding coming up so there was 3 showers for her going on in march. So 3 weekends ago we knew we had a lot that Saturday ht needed to be done. Football @9, Baptism @1030, shower at 1, wedding(I helped decorate for) at 4, and a farewell party for Ivan at 6. So when wade walked in from his game limping I was laughing. Of course on this day of all days he gets hurt.
We decided to continue with our plan for the day but the pain was still there.
The Thursday before this whole thing happened my grandma took a turn and she decided she didn't want dialysis anymore and it was time to let her go. An unbearable thought that shook me to the core. I knew I had to go see her before she got any worse. That Friday before the weekend of pure chaos I book tickets for Tuesday. So the crazy weekend came and exploded and we got threw it. Sunday I sang in church for Ivan's farewell and Monday morning I knew I needed to take wade into the doctor. He was still having a hard time walking and was in a lot of pain. I took him in and they scheduled him for a MRI for wednesday(since I'd be gone Tuesday)
Wade took Tuesday as brooke and I left the house at 430 In the morning to make a flight at 615. We had a layover in Phoenix where we meet a dude named trajo. Great guy. He was in gangs and got in a lot of trouble and was sent to Utah where he got his life straight and was heading back to ca for a visit with family. Funny dude. We got to sfo got some food and went and spend a full 6 hours with my grandma. Knowing this would be the last time we would she her alive. My heart was ripped out of chest as I said my final goodbyes. We held hands for most of that day. A memory I will cherish always. The day after we left my parents left too. Grandma never woke up after that. She is at rest and I feel her with me now. I love her.
I got back that Tuesday night after midnight and wade has his MRI that morning.(which hurt him really bad) I had to pull shaylie out of school early bc she had dress rehearsal and pictures. It went from 4-9pm. A very long time for a little kid. Wade got a call that night from the doctor saying he has a torn acl, torn meniscus and a bone fracture in his tibia . Ouch ouch and more ouch.
The surgeon took us Thursday where we set up the surgery and Thursday nightwas shaylies ballet performance! She did an amazing job and it was a terrific ballet. Friday was not so craZy. My parents and I surprised wade and took him to la jolla groves for dinner for his birthday. Saturday was wade big 30th birthday! Ok old man lol. We went to breakfast, watch his team win the football game then headed to his family's house for Easter fun for the kids.
Sunday was Easter and the kids got their baskets and we went to church, my parents came for dinner. My sister was out of town and my brother was up at school nursing his staples he had to get in his leg. Easter was calm but good. Monday morning we got the call that she was gone..... Words don't cut it. Wade came home to hold me. We were with my parents that night when we put together the plan to leave Thursday morning to ca.
Wednesday was a bitter sweet day. That was the day Ivan left. It was like spending one if my own kids. Once again my heart broke into a thousand pieces.
Thursday we left with our three car wagon train to ca. The trip was long but the kids did great. I know wade was in a lot of pain but he never complained. Chad got an infection in his leg while there which ended up being a trip to insta-care. The funeral was on Saturday. It was a nice service. Still surreal. Once again words fail me. She will be missed. Everyone says I got her personality. I love deeply so did she. That's probably why this hurts so bad. I got to spend time with family after. It was nice to see everyone. My grandpa is so sad and will be for a while.
We hit pier 39 that night and in the morning Sunday started home and got home 1030 last night. To say the least I have a lot on my mind and that's why this a novel.
We have so much coming up. The couple big ones are surgery Friday. Temple Tuesday. Wedding dinner Thursday. And wedding Friday April 19th.
More now I just need to stay in one piece
