Success

First off I gotta laugh. I wrote my last post and at the end I said I Better go to sleep before I start throwing up..., 2 hours later I started to throw up. It was a nasty tummy bug. Shaylies Christmas performance was that morning. It took every once of control and energy to make it to that singing concert. She did great and knew all the words. Good job bug.
The following Monday. The 23rd was cori's birthday. Wade was not feeling great and I knew he was busy with work. I had to make sure to cook, clean and set up before he got home. Easier said then done. I cleaned out the garage only to find we had a weird smell in the garage. I found my plug in the garage had shorted out and needed to be reset, this made my freezer in the garage not work. It had been out for at least a week. So I had to clean out bad meat...,, gross barf super nasty.
The party was a success. Good food, everyone had fun and Cori got an actual party.
That night wade got sicker. He woke up Christmas eve to go to work thinking he might die. To help wade I went to drop off a table to a family in need(santa's job is awesomeness) while I was doing that I heard my back pop out. Next thing you know I have to go to the chiropractor to pop it back in. Wade comes home foe work at 3 and he's horribly sick with a fever. He slepts while i drop off the kids next door while I get some last minute things. We then head to my parents house at 7.
Millie, Michelle and wade were pretty sick. We all still made the most of it all. That is why I have to say it was a success. Some had to go to sleep early and struggled but Christmas was a success. The kids loved their gifts and at the end of chirstmas day I asked if they had a good day and they said it was the best. We still did the family quiz, the kids had their sleepover, Santa came, we watch chirstmas movies, ate good food, laughed and had agreat time,Life isn't always what you want but it was still a great day.
Today is Friday. The sickness toll is up. Mom brooke chad and Michelle have a tummy bug. Wade and shaylie have strep. Millie has bronchitis. Blake and Connor have fevers. Awesome. I also found out wades niece is also sick. We can seem to run from it.
When i took my family to the doctors today I found out shaylie and wade has strep throat. Then I found out Briggs had a massive ear infection and pink eye. I said to the doctor, "we win!" She looked at me like i was crazy lol.
I love all these sick people. Soon it will be New Years and we can start fresh with a new year!

The MoTab

If you haven't heard about the Mormon tabernacle choir, you've been living under a rock! Every year they have a Christmas concert. I had never been to one until last weekend! My friend Sarah called me up Saturday and said she had some extra tickets that night for the MoTab Christmas concert and if wade and I wanted to go they were ours! I was so excited! I got a babysitter and off we went.
Down side of going is traffic is the worse thing ever! You can imagin that there are thousands and thousands of people that go to this concert. It's a mighty production . The conference center can hold 21,200 people! Every seat and I mean every single seat was taken. After the show started they started to let in people who were in the stand by line and they filled up all the single seats.
The show was amazing the music, dancers, singers, story tellers. It was just something I had never in countered before. It was amazing and everyone should see if at least once in their life.
I was so glad to have time with wade in the car ride up and back. It's been really busy and it's kicking his butt.
We got back to pick up our kids and shaylie has thrown up a couple times. I felt so bad for not being there with her. Gotta love mom guilt. Unfortunately Briggs got the tummy bug today. Downer. Christmas is coming and we need everyone healthy. Last Wednesday I went into the doctors because I had an ear infection. Both Briggs and I have been fighting colds and now wade has it.
It's terrific.
Well I better sleep before I start throwing up. ;)

Thanksgiving (a little late I know)

I realized after my last post I never wrote about thanksgiving and I really need too because it was great. My grandpa Hamilton came about for thanksgiving which made me really happy since it was the first major holiday since my grandma passed. I worry about him.
Also my uncle mark, aunt terry and my two cousins Meg and Emma came for Turkey day too! It was nice to have them come. It felt like old times playing games and laughing at fart jokes! I didn't realize how much I missed it.
My parents how was always the hub for the Holidays. It was hard when they moved here to not have both sides of the family show up for the holidays. I loved decorating all the tables for Christmas dinner. A Santa table, snowman table, a snowflake table, and any other idea I would come up with. We've lost some really important people since then, but we have also added some amazing ones!
After Thanksgiving day (which was amazing) we went to slc and park city with my family. We had to make sure to get the memories in! Shaylie was glued to mark the whole week. She has a sense when people need some love. Briggs loved my cousins and just wanted to play and play. They were both pretty upset when everyone had to go home.
It was a great Thanksgiving full of family, food, and awesomeness

Christmas time is here...

This year Christmas feels different. Not bad different. I look back to a year ago and think wow what a year.
This year December started two days after thanksgiving. That made it hard to gear up because it came so quickly.
This year we have gone to the Spanish fork lights which has become one of my very favorite activities. It's not crazy and hectic . It is peaceful and ....awesome. This night we went to the lights, my parents came I our house and wade got home from work. We loading up our ford and shipped off to go see the lights. We ate pizza at pizza factory. We had a great conversation and the kids enjoyed the food. Then off we went with the Christmas music in the car and excited little children waiting patiently to get to the lights. The lights this year were the best they have ever been! It was an amazing set up with snow everywhere. The reason I'm writing about this is not for the beauty of the lights or snow and no not even the music, it is because of the feeling in that car. The feeling of peace and love. We sang carols all the way home. When we got back to orem we drove a little more to see more lights. Too see the joy if my little ones faces. Too hang on to that prefect little moment. So best for those tender mercies. I love this family of mine.
Wade has been working so hard managing two stores and trying to deal with the pain of healing. But he comes home and is excited to talk to the kids about the elf on the shelf and the trouble she got into the night before. He wasn't a Christmas person and now he is one of the biggest. This is the reason for the season. Our Heavenly Father blessed us with a savior to bless us with redemption and the blessing of eternal families. I'm so grateful for a Father in heaven who loves me and a Brother who gave everything and suffered so I can be forgivin for my sins. I so grateful for this season and the love, joy, and the giving Christmas spirit. I say that in Jesus name Amen.
