Turn the page

By New Year's Eve I was ready to turn the page on that year and start a new. New Year's Eve was fun. The kids had a blast. Brooke was awesome enough to open up her house so everyone could get together. We played games and ate food. The best part of the whole night was the dance countdown. At 11:30 we started a dance party and danced until 12:00! We welcomed in 2014 dancing and setting off fireworks. It was a great start to the year.

On January second I got to say goodbye to a good man. At the time I didn't know I was saying good bye. I took my kids over to see grandpa. He was struggling to breath bc he had caught a cold and we thought maybe he had gotten some fluid in his lungs. He was sleeping in his chair fully dressed for the day. After the kids got wiggly we decided to leave giving hugs and kisses and saying we will see you soon. I left at 6 and at 10 I got a call saying grandpa had stopped breathing and had passed. Part of me broke and the other side was happy to see there was no suffering. We had been there showing our love just hours before. Wade and I drove back to the facility to be with my family as they took him away. I still feel like it's surreal. I felt so weird.

The funeral was held this pass weekend. Lots of joy lots of tears. I love having all my family together. Aunts, uncles, cousins, second cousins! We had so much fun being together. Plus there was so much love and support during the funeral. I was able to sing " I stand all amazed" the feeling in the room and the pure testimony of Christ was amazing. I'm so grateful to have to knowledge that we can have eternal families. That our families can be together forever. I'm so grateful for the love and support that so many people have shown me. Thank you!
